Tapping my feet in a dance class after "not sure after how many" years!

Image
As soon as I returned from "awesome" Chennai trip, I had to rush to take admission for Shiamak's monsoon batch. As always, because of OCD(google for it!) (JK!), I managed to have my ICard for the dance class within next few hours of my landing in Hyderabad. I was super excited (nothing unusual) when I heard comments from my friends like "Ohooooo, Shaimak's classes" (*style* *style*)! I was literally counting hours while I was in office and I had my dance class in the evening. My first class..wow! I reach there and to my surprise, I see students from the age group of 10 to (.. Can't mention it here..else I will be fired by my dance class friends, Guess who? ;)) It was nice to see all of them, but I was skeptical if I will really enjoy with such a varied age group people. And then comes our introduction..Someone was a teacher, to a student , to a software professional( yeah, me too), house wife , and what not! And now I am even more skeptical,

A scary night that was..! (Part 2 contd..)

Before continuing, do read Part 1 of this story else, you'll miss the spicy background of the story :-) So, now 3 girls, 1 auto driver, his buddy and 2 police men on a lonely road at 12.00 am..here starts the bollywood movie scene. Now, the effect of all bollywood movies started showing up because we could think of everything what the movies show. So, all wild thoughts started creeping in - "Are these policemen fake?" , " Are these 4 guys all together?", "Was all this a planned thing?", "Will these guys ask our parent's address and phone numbers and call them at this hour and...so on"!! Damn, that really frightened the hell out of us. We got down from the rick. The police men started interrogating - "Where are you going?" and hearing the destination, they asked the auto driver in telugu - "ఈ కుడి మార్గం" ? That means - "Is this the right way? " And before that poor chap(not really poor) answers, the police

A scary night that was..!

All three of us were in a celebration mood as it was my roommate’s birthday and it was obvious to go out for a treat. After spending couple of hours on deciding the location, we finally decided that we would try a lake side restaurant which had very good ambiance and Google said the food was good too. So, we had to give it a try. The place was around 20 kms away and we had a booking for 8.30 pm, presuming we “would” leave by 7.30 pm. It’s nothing unusual for girls to get late by 2 hours when we decide to go out , as it takes time to change at least 5 dresses and finally come up with the final one(that too depending on what others are wearing ;-) ). No surprises, started from home at 9.30 pm! Finally, we managed to reach the place in next half an hour. Little did we realize that we are too late. We took our own sweet time to order food and kept ourselves engaged in gossips, photo shoots and so on! When it was time to order dessert, we were already full but could not resist the tempt

"Maharashtra ki special lassi!"

"Maharashtra ki special lassi, Maharashtra ki special lassi"!! :) :) Its sounds like I've taken up a new job (after getting bugged up with software industry :P), but let me clarify, nothing like that :) Also, here I really don't want to convey I like lassi(infact, I've never had it as I don't like it) but the other word in the sentence "Maharashtra" is what makes me to write this blog, within few minutes of hearing it in through a hawker in train! This is exactly how it feels when you hear you very own state's name in the journey which takes you through 3 states! Starting from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh,(which is my host state.Even after more than 9 months here, I still feel I'm a guest here :( ), then through quite a few cities in Karnataka like Gulbarga and then MY state "Maharashtra" :) Infact, when my cell phone shows the coverage city and if its some city in Maharashtra,(like now its showing Solapur) that gets a smile on my fac

Acceptance in Life has no alternative!

Remember the last time when you were asked to do a project in office which you hated the most, assigned work with a "team mate" (working with whom is the last thing in life you would like to do :P, annual hike (?),serious fight with your best buddy, last Good bye to someone(not sure if you will see the person ever again or not :( ) and the list continues....I am sure all of us would have come across one of these, may be few hours back or few days back or may be few months back. And then, we don't miss to repeat those instances to all our friends who tend to show sympathy to us( no matter how long the list of sympathetic friends is, we don't mind to tell our so called "woes" over and again) These are the times when things just happen contradictory to our expectations. At first, it seems sometimes "life is being very rude to us", "We are being treated in the most ruthless way possible", "why ONLY me!" and the stream of negative t
