"Maharashtra ki special lassi!"

"Maharashtra ki special lassi, Maharashtra ki special lassi"!! :) :)

Its sounds like I've taken up a new job (after getting bugged up with software industry :P), but let me clarify, nothing like that :)

Also, here I really don't want to convey I like lassi(infact, I've never had it as I don't like it) but the other word in the sentence "Maharashtra" is what makes me to write this blog, within few minutes of hearing it in through a hawker in train! This is exactly how it feels when you hear you very own state's name in the journey which takes you through 3 states! Starting from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh,(which is my host state.Even after more than 9 months here, I still feel I'm a guest here :( ), then through quite a few cities in Karnataka like Gulbarga and then MY state "Maharashtra" :) Infact, when my cell phone shows the coverage city and if its some city in Maharashtra,(like now its showing Solapur) that gets a smile on my face which itself speaks many things.

Neverthless, even in office, communicating in Marathi(no matter if its tuti futti :P ) with a colleague from Nagpur, feels so good. Also overhearing some people from the neighbouring team in office, discussing in Marathi feels as if I'm back to Maharastra :) All these things are evident that I miss my state, miss marathi language, so very much :(

I remember the other day, when I overheared some marathi songs being played loud around somewhere near my place in Hyderabad(like kombdi padali, dhagala lagli kada etc etc.), it feels just amazing! I wonder, its only the beats which people there like about my marathi songs, not sure if lyrics make any sense to them. Anyways, that's exactly what we do when we play telugu songs like "apdi pode" :)

Its only now I understand what it means when one of my friend from Maharashtra, and now working in Bangalore keeps repeating "mala kasahi punyala parat jaycha aahe". I used to always think what a big deal to stay anywhere. But No, its a different feeling to be back to our own state.

Infact, through my journey now, I'll be crossing Pune :) Wohoo!! I'm so very excited to catch a glimpse of Pune station eventhough I'll be crossing it at very odd hours, say somewhere around 1.30 am. Nevermind, I've set an alarm to not MISS it in any case.

I'm just waiting to reach Mumbai next morning, its so so different feeling to go back there :) Like me, you can only understand this if you've ever been out of your state for some time and a hawker repeats something like "Maharashtra ki special lassi" which reminds you of all "special" things of your state :)

P.S : This is my 3rd blog, which I'm writing while travelling in train. I guess, I should be travelling more often to write even more :)
